Andrea's training style falls under the Functional Movement umbrella.
Functional training = exercise that strengthens you in a particular way that directly translates to an activity outside the gym, in our real life. Training that serves purpose in your daily movement patterns (walking, squatting, pushing, lifting, sitting, running, reaching, etc...)
We do this by:
-Identifying your daily movement patterns
-Identifying your strengths and weaknesses
-Creating deliberate exercises to enhance your unique lifestyle
Your initial session will be a new client assessment where Andrea will be:
-Getting to know you as an individual and a mover
-Watching, assessing and simply noticing you as you are
-Observing your movement patterns
-Seeing where you’re holding tension
-Assessing your overall fitness level
-Correcting posture
-Reminding you of your alignment
-Introducing breath work and mindfulness
-Reviewing your paperwork, past experience, present routine and your future goals
Ongoing sessions will progressively work towards all of the above.
